How does item transmutation work gw2
You probably won't get enough to transmute every weapon and piece of armor while leveling to 80, but iirc you get a charge for map completion of a city and that's enough for a set of armor.
As fast as the levels go though, it's less time-consuming to just wait and transmute everything at It starts out where every one you get feels precious. As you play the game you get more and it's pretty balanced. At first it's still crazy though. Not a bad game buy the way. Enjoying it so far.
Did you simply bought the game? Watched no reviews, not comments reading, or any gameplay videos, no wiki reading?? But you managed come to forum and post yours "attentive" message, telling us that you were surprised. WHOLE internet could help you if you just ask! How serious is that? With approach like that our lives would be one big series of surprises. Just a Flesh Wound also makes a really good point about the exploration plus it's cool to see all the cities.
I could have stated that better: The links with parentheses will take you, always, to a different page in the Wiki, which will then offer a link to the page the URL was copied from.
Real money? I have over transmutation charges and haven't bought any of them. It's a nonexistent problem. I started playing during the headstart so it's no problem for me. If you're a new player however it is an issue if you want to change your gear not that it's smart for non-exotic non lvl 80 gear to transmute. Sorry OP but like others have intimated..
Transmuting is in no way a forced money grab. You get enough charges free each month in game from a variety of game modes and logins that unless you are transmuting multiple times a day you shouldn't have a need for more.
Leveling up in GW2 provides enough armours, weapons and such to not even worry about what you look like until you reach cap, then you can work on your particular style.. I mean levelling up a character takes like a week, maybe two if your slow like me If your transmuting your gear every level or two then Easier to buy an outfit or two for your account and use them until you can loot, craft, the more desirable stuff in game after capping.

I did that a couple times over again, and it wouldn't work. I equipped the straps that don't show up either and tried to equip the backpack over that, but it switches back out. This has never happened to me, and I need help!
Quote: Please keep in mind that when transmuting two items, you are combining the stats of one weapon with the skin of another to create an entirely new item. When transmuting an upgradeable item, you will lose the ability to upgrade the new item.
It becomes an entirely new item with the the appearance of one item and the stats of the other. If you wish to upgrade the item, you will need to wait until after you have upgraded it to transmute the appearance or the ability to upgrade will be lost. Simply not true, tested 3 cases of transmutation: both items with upgrades, only one item with upgrade the other with unused upgrade slot, and both items with unused upgrade slots.
In all 3 cases, a new upgrade could be applied to the newly transmuted item. If I place my starter armor into the right side of the transmutation window and try to use its appearance with some newer armor's stats heavy, same armor slot , the Item Transmutation button is greyed out and no comment is made.
However, if I place it into the left side of the window, the button is clickable and I'm given the "Good" comment. I logged out and back in and still had the same problem. The newer piece was not either not soulbound or soulbound to me, and so was the starter gear.
Has anyone else had this problem? Same issue with Mesmer starter mask. Putting it in the other side of the widow allowed it to work though. Something I don't know, and would probably good on the page is an indication of how level requirements transmute. Does the new item get the level requirement of the stats? Or does it get the level requirement of the highest piece of the two?
I have transmuted quite a lot of items and I found that some of them have the incorrect rarity colour This only happens rarely but it would be nice if it could be fixed as it is confusing to think that an item has stats corresponding to one rarity when it doesn't.
I have bough Guild Wars 2 Heroic Edition and I have got that items, that can change the way that armor looks, I'm only level 10 and I'm not sure how does this armor works. So I'd like to ask if it's bounded on items that I use, that low level armors or can I remove it after I find better armor? Sign up to join this community.
