Magicka where is gram
They will try to mob you for your robes. The Rock Shield is a self cast defense spell. The stronger rock shields can be used so you can take the time to do something like an area of effect freeze spell followed by lightning or something destructive. EVRTing put up a good video on Youtube with a powerful spell combination which demonstrates how the Rock Shield can be used effectively.
Definitely add this powerful spell to your repertoire. The shield has durability and loses 10 duarability every second. An attack that does more damage than the shields current durability will break the personal shield but you will take no damage.
You will be unable to heal yourself or be healed while the shield is active. So you will have to disable the shield by recasting before you heal. However, while the shield is active every time you try to heal yourself you will actually be recharging the shield.
So to recharge the shield just heal yourself. The shield will reflect beam spells. We know how everyone loves to accidently shoot their teammates with the Steam Lightning Beam :P.
However the personal shield has a weakness against projectile attacks. You could even encase yourself in a rock shield, which will give you time to cast another spell. You should know your Magicka Basics before you read this. Preferably after performing a series of parkour moves for no reason. Secondly cast Rain. A tip guide for Chapter 1 is also available. Partially sticking out of the cave is a spellbook.
The spellbook contains the Rain Magicka. Defeat the goblins and grab the spellbook. This is the first chapter in which you run into the Goblin Ranger. You will notice that any projectile will knock you down while you have the Personal Defense Shield active.
Unfortunately for you a group of goblins will wreck their ship and attack you. Not to mention Gram will lock himself in his workshop leaving you to fend for yourself. On the anvil is the Warhammer weapon which has a knockback special ability. Maybe you have an Aristo-Staff or Staff of War and want to lure the enemy to attack you instead of a friend. Beyond pointless in single player.
The speed boost even increases your turning rate when using Beam magick. It stacks with Haste, as well! That's actually a tactically useful ability, as you could teleport with this then unleash area magick! Since weapons are for utility more than damage dealing in Magicka, this one could come in handy. So what? I'd rather use an Exotic blade to that end. We're not in Lord of the Rings, so why do I need it to glow?
Would be good for screenshots and nothing else! Utterly useless in single player.
