Can you freeze philly soft pretzels

In the event that you were unable to eat all of your pretzels, you may freeze the pretzels in a zip-lock bag; to reheat the pretzels, simply take them out of the bag and heat in a toaster oven or microwave oven.

Contact your local Philly Pretzel Factory and they will be happy to discuss what options are available for custom Pretzels. Please give at least 24 hours notice for all custom Pretzel orders.

Unfortunately the answer is no. Philly Pretzel Factory has experimented with gluten free Pretzels, but have yet to be able to develop one that meets the Philly Pretzel Factory standards. And only yellow mustard it, NOT Heinz ketchup it! Soft pretzels are just a kind of bread, no reason they can't be frozen, in fact they can be found packaged in the frozen foods section. Today most all soft pretzel venders are selling frozen product The pretzels are froma place called The Pretzel Factory and as far as I know, they were baking them right there.

They were warm when they bagged them. Reason I bought a dozen was I live three hours away and knew I couldn't just grab one and eat it in the car. I can't give you the recipe I've used in the past because I have no idea where it is Look up a recipe on the net and go for it. If you don't like it, try another one - you'll find something you like.

What you really need is the kind of salt or a near representation of what they use on soft pretzels. Coarse sea salt. At the Wawa 7-ll convenience store they used to deliver soft pretzels packed in those bread crates like they unload at the supermarket. Difference being, they were not bagged.

There was a box of food grade tissues you could take and pluck one out of the crate. They were the BEST. Then Wawa figured, why can't we do that? They did away with the pretzel supplier and offered the bagged pretzels, about half the size of what I thought of as a normal soft pretzel. The problem with them is they tend to stay pretty damp in the bags. I tried exactly one of them.

The "open air" soft pretzels were fresh almost several times daily and didn't need the moisture the bagged version needed to "seem" fresh. If that sounds picky, well, yeah it is! Ask me about the demise of the jars of insanely peppered beef jerky! Our soft pretzels are shipped Monday thru Wednesday, from our warehouse to your location in TWO days.

This generally goes for plain, hard pretzels. Skip to content Miscellaneous. May 26, Joe Ford. Pretzel 2 looked good when it came out of the toaster oven.

Brown and crackled, just like it should be. But upon closer inspection, I realized that it was still very raw on the inside. Pretzel 3 also looked good after baking. Just as brown and crackled as Pretzel 2, and mostly cooked through. The problem? It was still completely frozen in the center at its thickest point. Pretzel 4 not only looked good on the outside, but cooked all the way through.

I also noticed that it seemed to hold the salt the best. The winner? Pretzel 4, hands down. Follow the recipe as it is written. Allow to cool completely, then move them to airtight containers in the freezer.

Hey Julie! Dave and I froze half of the dough when we made them. Unboiled and all.. A week later, we pulled it out for the day, then rolled them into pretzels, boiled and baked them as your recipe instructs and they were perfect! Just as good as the fresh dough!! Good to know that works too! I did it this way mostly so I can have a pretzel within 10 minutes, including preheating. But your way definitely saves some time on baking day! Hi Julie, just wanted to thank you for doing the work for this experiment, now I know what to do if any left LOL!!!

Thanks for the tips.
